Once more Dad had a great day and was very alert. Dad mouthed that he wanted to know where he was. When I told him where and why, when I asked him if he understood he nodded. He also turned my hand over and was squeezing different areas of my thumb and forefinger, I finally asked him if was trying to show me cities, he nodded yes. he showed me Alpena, then Sebawing and Caseville, but, I couldn't figure out what he wanted.
I talked to his discharge counselor today, they need to replace his trach then they will be ready to transfer him to Select Specialties where they will do an intense therapy to get him off his ventilator, close up his trach and start doing some physical therapy, After that he will be going to a physical Rehab. It looks like he is on the road to the next stage of his recovery Dad still has a long road ahead of him and still going to need a lot of support.
