Today has been three weeks since Dad had his stroke. He is making progress, although it is hard to see. The staff says he is right on track. Once again tonight he was asleep and was not going to wake up. He is only getting 10% oxygen from the machine and his blood level is at 100%. The respirator is also backed down to where he is doing the majority of his breathing by himself. Dad also used his right hand to squeeze the nurses when she asked him to.
We were told tonight to expect at least another six months in hospital settings. Between St.Marys, ventilator rehab then physical rehabs. We are trying to help Mom try and plan for their future, at this point, she can't because we don't know what the future holds. We just have to wait and be patient.
Mom has received so many cards and notes from friends and family, that is so helpful to her to reassure her that so many, many people are praying for Dad and thinking of them.
Keep the prayers and positive thoughts flowing
Love to All
