Mom and I just got back from seeing Dad, he was resting, as they had worked with him changing IVs and bathing him, for quite a while today, The nurse said Dad got quite frustrated with them , so they gave him some Ativan to calm him. The staff also removed his pressure socks, he was trying to reach for them, through the process of elimination decided that was what he wanted, shows that Dad is still stubborn. With all things figured we weren't allowed to touch him or talk to him today. He is still looking better every time we see him.
Joseph (his nurse) said while there is still only reflex activity with his right arm and leg, he is responding well to commands with his left side, along with moving his eyes and head. His ventilator tube should be coming out by mid-week. They also took swabs of his eyes to check for infection, as they seem to be red and have alot of build up on and around them.
Even though it seemed at first we were going backwards today; He is actually still progressing
forward, we just have to accept some bumps in the road.
Please keep up the prayers
