Okay I got the right name for the type of stroke Dad had.... it is called a "Hemorrhagic Stroke" it was in the left Basal Ganglia, possibly brought on by hypertension. (Its all greek to me, but that is what Dr. Field says) (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000761.htm)

Today has been a BIG step for Dad, he is still on the ventilator because of muscle control. it is breathing with him not for him. Dad is not and he never was on life support. Friday they are going do a tracheotomy, so they can take away the tube, but with the muscle control he will need it to make sure he can breathe right temporarily.

Tonight when we got back up to see him his RIGHT leg had been moved, the nurses did not move it ,Dad did. There is still no movement, other than reflex on his right arm and hand. Although while we were talking about his right leg, he was moving his left one all over!! he wasn't as alert tonight, He does open his eyes and looks in our direction, but no one knows what or how much he is seeing right now. Hopefully tomorrow he will be more alert, I think he was just tired.

There are some other stories going around about Dads condition, I want every one to know that if they hear any thing that doesn't sound right, PLEASE feel free to call any of his family, your calls are more than welcome
