Today when we saw Dad he is highly sedated, so as usual, he was not very responsive. Merilee and Marilyn came up to see him and when I told Dad they were there he kind of opened his eyes to look at them, he also gave Merilee a slight squeeze on her hand. We know he is still in there somewhere we just have to wait and hope and pray.
Uncle Jim said when he was there in the early afternoon, Dad had the hiccups, he still had them this evening, it is quite common for patients with ventilators. We have also noticed the swelling in his arms and legs is starting to go down.
They are still working on weaning his ventilator, they have cut the oxygen they are giving him back to 50% and his oxygen level is still doing real well, apparently the filter that was put in is working and the pneumonia is under control.
All in all he is making good progress, just seems slow, but its still progress.
Thanks again for the calls and prayers.... keep them up

Joann, Don, Roger, Bruce and Skip, I just want to thank you for this site. It makes it so much easier to keep up with Clyde's progress. He is in our prayers, as well as those of our church. We pray for strength, healing and determination.
Clyde is stubborn, as you say many times, but with that stubborness comes strength and THAT is what will be required for his recovery.
We will continue to pray and if you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
