Dad was quite tired today. We finally got to take Penny (his dog) in to see him. I told Dad to "Wake up, Penny's here" he opened his eyes, smiled and reached out for her. He then went to back to sleep, petting her and her laying beside him. The physical therapist was in and worked with him a bit.
His fever is still up (around 101) they changed his antibiotic tonight to see if that will help. The cardiologist did another EKG today, his heart rate is down although still fast. Dad has developed a premature beat, apparently nothing to be concerned about, yet they will be keeping an eye on it.
We need to keep our spirits up, When Dad is alert, he is very aware of what is going on around him. I was told it is quite common to level out for a period, hopefully he will work through this and continue to improve.
