Dad is having a great day, he was trying to feed himself tonight, he was doing a fairly decent job. Dad was quite excited tonight, he told me to "Watch this!!" and he moved his right leg, just a little but he did it, you should have seen the look of determination on his face, he was so proud. His vocabulary is getting better everyday, he was asking tonight who was winning the "spaghetti races" I told him the "meatballs?" he smiled, after a several tries and guesses we figured out he meant the "presidential race". Dad said he doesn't want to watch TV because it is to small. He is really enjoying visiting now, and he is full of questions about things he is wondering about.
Today they removed his catheter, he says it feels so much better. They get him up every couple of hours to go to the restroom, then they are scanning his bladder to make sure it empties every time. They said it is doing fine.
