Dad is in a little better spirits the past few days, he is still progressing well, although slowly, He told me they tried to stand him and he just could not do it. He is holding his head well and getting a little better with his hand/eye coordination. He is still practicing sitting on his own and seems to be getting better doing that, he can stay upright for nearly 30 minutes once someone gets him up.
He is understanding a lot more lately too. Mom and Dad are discussing their future and different things that they will need to change and/or alter about their lives. Dad is actually quite sharp and open about some of the things I thought he would be adamant about staying the same. If we do stumble on a subject he isn't happy about he'll say "we got time, not yet".
There has been no answer yet on his x-ray, but Dad says it is starting to feel better and not ache as much.
