Over the past few days Dad has been really working on his speech. He can really surprise you with some of the words he comes out with, tonight he said "he could talk easier if he were telepathic". He says he thinks "toes" but it comes out with something from earlier like "stove".He was talking to Cortney on the phone tonight and was quite clear, last night he tried talking to Don and was hard to understand. Compared to where we were a month ago though, I won't complain.In physical therapy, he is pushing hard... the therapist ask him if he wants to stop he says NO; does it hurt? "yes, but keep going". Dad says they won't let him go to far so he is okay. I don't like being in there with him, it really bothers me to see him have to push so hard to do things that we all take so much for granted.Kathy and Mom were not feeling well tonight, so just Dad and I had dinner together. He tells me I don't need to come see him everyday if I don't want to. We had to have a discussion about that and how I want to come see him. I guess he was satisfied with my response so we went on to discuss why his drape backing doesn't match. He said he spends to much time studying the "box" he lives in. We talked about the next decent day (ie: not to hot or rainy) we would try and take him down to the river walk for a while. Then we got onto fishing and what we could do so he could so that.It does seem that his spirits are beginning to pick up and he is feeling better about things now. Lets just hope he stays on this track for a while and continues to improve both physically and emotionally.Please keep the prayers and positive thoughts flowing his way.....Love to All;Skip
