Today Dad has been giving them fits with his trach, his lungs are very strong, when he coughs he keeps moving the seal on his trach tube, they had to replace it once today, and probably will replace it with a better fitting style tonight (Cindy says he a LOT of neck). They were going to do his feeding or "PEG tube" (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) today, the doctor ended up in an emergency surgery so they will more than likely do that tomorrow. The tube is needed to feed him and also is required for his next stage of recovery.
They were going to sedate Dad a little heavier this evening than he has been the past few days, so he can and will relax and get some rest, they are trying to get his days and nights straightened back out.
I know I have said this before... when you see Dad it is to see that he is doing better, but he is improving, just slowly and occasionally takes a step or two backwards. Just keep the prayers and positive thoughts heading his way.

For those of you reading this, it WASN'T me that said "lots of neck", you all know I wouldn't say that about Uncle Baldy....lots of thoughts and prayers for him.
