Monday June 30, 2008

As has been the usual report over the past few weeks, Dad is continuing to improve.He is making amazing strides toward his recovery. His therapists say he is pushing himself extremely hard. They say if they tell him to do ten reps of a certain exercise, he will do 15 plus. Dad as been pedaling a 1/2 bike with his right leg strapped in. He pedals around with his left leg then he really concentrates on his right and takes it the rest of the way. This exercise really takes a lot out of him, but he continues to push himself extremelly hard.
Dad had been quite depressed in the past few weeks, we have been doing some "reminiscing" about some of the things we all did with and to each other over the years. He finally got laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes and his spirits are on the rebound. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine. He is concerned about a few things that we have discussed how to deal with, that is making him feel better too.
Please keep him in your prayers and if you have time drop him a line just to let him know he is in your thoughts...
Love to All;
Skip
